BY Bootcamp
An Immersive Approach to our Traditional BY Program
Job Training + Paid Work and Support Services
This bootcamp experience has already offered me so much more. Being able to learn and come to the community and help someone maintain their home, we help get the job done.

About BY Bootcamp
The 3-4 week intensive training provides students the opportunity to obtain the same certifications as the traditional BY Construction Training, in a shorter time frame. Students engage in the same coursework, job fair connections, and certification opportunities, with the added bonus of potentially participating in a paid, hands-on work experience. These work sites are located throughout Indianapolis and managed by Home Repairs for Good, a nonprofit that provides home repairs for low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities who own their own home in Marion County.
BY Bootcamp students can also get connected to resources for challenges that might prevent them from completing the course or starting a new job. We connect students to free legal counseling provided by the Indianapolis Legal Aid Society, as well as community centers and other partners to help with financial coaching, transportation assistance, childcare, and more.
Graduates earn two (2) industry certifications: NCCER Core and OSHA 10. Construction industry employers visit classes and share information. Towards the end of class, students are invited to attend a private job fair with construction industry employers who are hiring and supportive services to promote community growth.
NOTE: BY Bootcamp students must live in Marion County.
